At last! A friend emailed me the secret to coming up with your own personal blues name. Of course you're welcome to come up with any name you want, and if you have your own particular formula, let me know. But his was:

A disability
A fruit
The name of a U.S. president

Ergo: Blind Lemon Jefferson, etc.
