Thanks Michael........I had seen the "Dreadnaughtilus" in one of the trade pubs or catalogs awhile ago and I looked through them to see if I could find it again, but I can't. I did run across a douple of pictures of Laskin's stuff in Luthier's Mercantile update catalogs and I've meant to mention that around here too.

Fred Carlson kind of reminds me of Danny Ferrington in the sense of the "inspiration" idea. Ferrington builds pretty much around a performer like Hoyt Axton, Joan Baez, even Jewel. Something about Carlson's comments stuck me the same way. Its more than adding "personal" touches, rather he looks at the artist and designs the entire structure around them. Ferrington is pretty weird though. Carlson seems to be a pretty neat guy.

AND CLINTON--- I don't think you have to worry about getting one of his guitars right now, although he will take your order......which should be completed in about EIGHT YEARS!!! The man has got one hell of a waiting list!!!! Actually, he's not even taking orders, but you can out your name on a list to get on the order list. That'd probably give you about 10 tears to break the news to your wife.

Spaw

A friend of mine has one of these, several years old. She doesn't play it much (prefers her Martin) and might be interested in selling it. You wouldn't even have to be on a 5-year waiting list! (BG) If anyone's interested, send me a PM or let me know here.

At least bending the sides (or is that side?) will be easier. It might make a cool bass body.
