There is a lady named Bobbie Wayne who is a fine harper; however I don't know if she gives lessons or not. She has a website and I apologize for not knowing the address, but you should be able to find it if you just search for her name. If she doesn't teach she probably knows someone who does.

There is an organization called the International Society of Folk Harpers, or something like that. They put out a directory of members, which I think is sorted geographically, and might have info about who teaches. I don't have the number here, but they probably have a web site. If you don't find them by doing a web search, you can e-mail me at work and I'll look it up in our records there.

John

Hi BigDaddy,

I will put your request on the e-mail Harplist. I'm certain you will get some useful contacts from them - they are a lovely bunch of people.

I'll get back to you with here any info they provide.

Helen

BigDaddy,

Here is the first response from the e-mail Harplist. There may be more.

Helen

"There is a lady named Carol McClure that at least used to teach in Nashville. I'm not sure if she still does or not. She started a school at Judson Baptist Church called Judson School of the Arts. It's in the Franklin Road area on the South side of Nashville.

Whoever is looking can try calling the Judson Baptist Church office to see if they have a contact number.

Wish them luck!

Phil"

Hi again,

Here is another message from the Harplist: (teacher's name deleted - I'll PM you with her name)

"My teacher (name) teaches in Arrington which is near Nashville. I don't have her number with me, but will send it Monday if you are interested. She teaches Pedal and Celtic."

I have asked for the phone number so I will send that in the PM to you as well.

Helen
