Does anyone know the English words to this famous Communist anthem. In China, I get woken up by it every day, so I might as well be able to sing along!

thanks

Seth from China

Rick

Rick- I only hear the "MIghty Red Army" at 6:00 a.m. I get "Edelweiss" ALL the time. Every kid and adult knows this song, and they love to sing it for any occasion, however goofy it might sound to me. After I did it a few times, I just won't do it anymore, for the sake of my sanity. I am teaching my kids "Are you from Dixie?" this week. Seth

Isn't it "Pol(y)ushko-pol(y)e" from Symphony No. 4 by L.K. Knipper? English titles include "Song of the Plains", "Meadowland(s)", "Cavalry of the Steppes", "The Red Army Marching Song," etc.

Great Wikipedia article with the anthem's history; music available on the right-hand side.
