Subject: Folk Roots/Folk Branches: 2000 favorites From: Mike Regenstreif Date: 27 Dec 00 - 11:47 PM As I always do on the last show of the year, I'll be dedicating this week's edition of Folk Roots/Folk Branches to a retrospective of some of my favourite new releases and reissues of this past year. (There certainly won't be enough time for all 2000 of my favourites, or, all of my favourites of 2000.) Folk Roots/Folk Branches is heard on Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:30 (eastern) on CKUT, 90.3 FM in Montreal, and in RealAudio from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches website. That'll be 2-4:30 pm in London, England, 8-10:30 am in Chicago, Illinois and 6-8:30 am in Bolinas, California. Next week: A Woody Guthrie Special. My guest will be Nora Guthrie, Woody's daughter and executive director of the Woody Guthrie Archives and Foundation. Mike Regenstreif |
