I was just wondering if he is ok. I emailed him some Photo's for the resources page around 15th November, and followed it up with a couple of emails and a personal message, but have heard nothing from him.

I also notice that he has not posted since November 4.

Does anyone have any inkling as to what's occuring???

Don't know. I posted a similar question in the Help Form here, which no one who can find out the answer has replied to yet. I also sent him a couple of e-mails and some photos on 30 Nov & 1 Dec, with no response. (Even to the one asking "Are you still there?")

He's alive, spoke to him just before the New Year. I think he's just been busy, the holidays and all.

Ease up, folks. While I agree that the Resources is behind, (I have stuff to be included too.) surely you know that Pene has lots of other tasks besides that one.

Tell me, just how do you do PayCuts on a volunteer job? Just ask me about the new PD "restructuring" idea.......Mr. gets to be a Lt. on salary with no overtime, but he will be responsible for 12 hrs of the day instead of 8----Yea, right.

Maybe there should be a back up volunteer for this sort of thing....for when he goes off to vacation or just gets really busy with "real life", he won't get overwhelmed by everything....

For a possible 'backup' or alterante resource see this thread.

I don't see any reason why we couldn't have both. It is customary on the Mudcat resource site, the one that Pene administers, to have pics of Mudcat memebers only. (and a limited number at that) On the Photoloft site that Kat and Catspaw and I are suggesting you can post anything. We have access to 50mb in any album and could start more than one if need be.

I accept that Pene has a life outside mudcat but think the idea of a backup body to help administer the resources is essential otherwise poor old Pene will get so snowed under he'll never get it all done and it is rather a pity when photos do not appear soon after an event. Having said that I don't know one end of a jpeg from another so really can't offer any asssistance at all,

It's so simple it should be obvious, Pene Azul (transl. "Blue Penis) does NOT exist. No one has ever met him. No one has ever seen a picture of him. Max claims to have spoken to him. I submit that Pene is a Mudcat alter ego of an existing member, who has grown tired of the responsbilities entrusted to him/her or no longer has the time to devote her.

Re the backup, I am not sure what he is doing but the last time I spoke to Jeff (sometime before Christmas), he was working with Cold Fusion and some ideas for the Resources page.

This leads me to think of an interesting project that I would imagine that only he or Max could take on (and is perhaps being considered). The system could be made user maintainable.
