Subject: 422 CD -listen here!!
From: GUEST,Ian Stephenson
Date: 12 Jan 01 - 11:36 AM

I'm not usually a guest, hmmm.....

Anyhoo --422 as you probably know is a young band from the uk --->It includes mudcatters Sam Pirt, and Ian Stephenson.
We just relaunched our website, so you can finally hear (in realaudio or mp3) us playing properly, on our latest CD -one.
I'd also be very grateful of constructive criticism of the website. I'm still learning, but I'd like a few secondary opinions about it---TA!

We are working on a way to sell our CDs from the mudcat shop, but haven't quite worked out how yet...any help??

Thanks for your support,
Ian Stephenson

I'll second that, One of the best music CD's I've ever heard. My favourite track is No8, "President Garfield" a Northumbrian hornpipe Ian plays a great guitar backing on this track. There are 13 tracks in total on the CD and each and every one has been arranged with the utmost care. I know you might be thinking I am saying this because I know the band personally but it realy is a great CD and well worth buying. You can order directly from Sam Pirt with a personal message or email him, his address is in the mudcat resorces email page or you can probably get one from Camsco.
Cheers Bill

Dick, if you had this, I would buy it from you. Now.

Ian, one question - what is the name of the first tune heard in the RealAudio file of "Tommy's Tarbukas?" Must learn that one!

@Jeri
The first tune on the track "tommy's tarbukas" is Called "broken plate" -written by mudcatter Sam Pirt.

There is also a tune written by Sam for Mudcat, called "a special day -so the word Mudcat appears in the sleeve notes!!
Ta

Judging by the sound samples, this is an excellent CD. I haven't treated myself to a CD in ages but I will be buying this one.

Hi

Jeri - I am pleased you like 'The Broken Plate' that I wrote. The other tune I wrote on the CD was first broardcast on the Mudcat Radio but I had produced a midi of it and it went wrong, I don't know if you can remember that broardcast.

Cheers, I am pleased that you all like it.

Cheers, Sam

Sam, is there any way I could get the dots for the tune?

I fully intend to buy this one, but I fear it's going to take a while. The money conversion is a pain, and if Dick/Camsco does get it, it may be several months from now.

Ian, regarding selling the CDs on Mudcat, my advice is to contact Dick Greenhaus of Camsco.

Jeri - unfortunatly I have never had the dots. I have recorded it as a cakewalk and midi file, so if you e-mail me I can send you it. I have all my info in the mudcat resources. E-mail me and I'll get it to you.

If anyone else wants me to e-mail 'A Special day' or 'Broken Plate' (both of my compositions on 422's debut album 'One') Get in touch,

Cheers, Sam
