I tried this last year and it pretty much flopped because I didn't push it hard enough. I guess we'll try again this year.

Winter is the perfect time to get together with friends and instruments and raise our voices against the dull routine of being house bound. So, on January 26 I am opening my house for a few hours of music and comaraderie. We will gather at 2:00 PM. I will put on a few gallons of spiced cider. If anyone wants something else to drink they are welcome to bring it with them.

This is not intended as a "Mudcat Gathering" but there are a number of 'Catters out there within easy reach of Bath, Maine, and I thought they should know of the fun to be found here. As always, any and all Mudcatters are welcome.

Naemanson, this sounds delightful! Such gatherings can be grand as long as some smart guy doen't want to impress everyone with his amazing talents. The comaraderie and the songs are what's imporatant, not someone's technique.

Maine is a long long way from Louisiana, so sadly I cannot attend. But I wish you well in your endeavor. May you have a grand event.

I can smell the cider!

Obviously too far from Yorkshire but I'll sing in THE bath and imagine I'm there with you. Seriously I think it's a great idea and I only wish we lived in a detached house or that the neighbours appreciated good music!

it's not the ten hours or so it would ake me to get there, I wouldn't mind that, it's the getting home to work!

I would love to be there as well, but for it's a 12 hour drive, but you never know ?, now that I'm retired I just might, the winter weather may play a part in my decision, I will have to think about this.

The futon is available as well as a number of foam pads for the floor. I only have a two bedroom apartment but I have had as many as 8 people sleep here. we have to all be on our best behavior though. And not be put out as my daughter gets ready for school in the morning. However, I would take that Monday morning off to get people sorted out, fed, and on the road.

Warning, this is only the first in a series of these. If you want to attend and cannot make it this time there is always next month.
