After reading the thread "while the organ peeled potatoes" I was reminded of another silly song. I particularly like the line "we feed the baby garlic so we can find him in the dark". There must be lots of these silly nonsense songs out there.

this is great!. i'm 63 and my parents used to sing this song in the car while travelling to south Dakota.

some variations of the above the lyrics:
a snake's belt always slips, because he has no hips
and his waistling is just below his necktie, his necktie!

we hope that grandma's teeth will soon fit Jenny, fit Jenny.

my father used to sing this to us. here's a variation I recall:
