This week's CatConcert on Paltalk will feature the talents of Matt R. I look forward to an evening of great variety, both in songs and instrumentation. The concert will be on Thursday, Feb. 8, beginning at 8:00 (unless Matt chooses earlier)and will be held in the Mudcat Concert Room on Paltalk, password marmot. For the new members, check the FAQs permathread for info on Paltalk. I will open the room around 7:30.

Matt..My worst fears confirmed. I am so sorry to hear you are having another flare up. I know the pain and discomfort is very debilitating. Take care, and hope you are able to do a concert another time. We still enjoy hearing you when you can play for us. Thanks Dave. Yeah, it's bad. I'm on all kinds of meds now. On the 19th I'm going in for a test to see if it's Crohn's.

Hope you feel better soon... I had something silimar for about a year... ended up in Casuality twice with it... and then it went after a while...

It is terrible to have so much pain, that you actually throw up, and are bent double in agony...

Have never experienced any other pain like it!

I think it may have been linked to stress in my case - we are still not sure what it was... It comes back mildly every now and then...

Horrendous...

Matt? Not well? Definitely try not to let it happen again. My cousin's two children have Crohn's and CF. There is no way to describe the pain. If it helps, I liked what I heard last night but you need a different "theme" song.

Thanks folks. Yeah, I've had UC for over 2 years now. But my current symptoms are not typical of UC. Now I've got terrible pain, severe loss of appetite, weight is dropping fast...and it seems not to be stress related. In some of my most stressful times, it has settled down. But there's no real pattern to these things.

MATT - Sorry to hear of your dificulties. Here in UK there is an organisation called NACC dealing with your health difficulties specifically. If there is no equivalent in USA please PM and I will sort out details. NACC is a voluntary organisation run by actual sufferers with these dificulties and provides information and support to enquirers.

My cousins have been started on some hormone treatment which has helped both to increase appetite and weight gain. I'll see what I can find out for you.
