Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: Jeri Date: 08 Feb 01 - 08:50 PM Matt, I read something about you having a flare-up of the whatsit. I think we can understand why you wouldn't feel like playing. Get some rest, pamper yourself, and sing for us when you feel better. |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: Noreen Date: 09 Feb 01 - 06:31 AM Don't worry, Mattie. Another time! |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: Dave (the ancient mariner) Date: 09 Feb 01 - 07:15 AM Matt..My worst fears confirmed. I am so sorry to hear you are having another flare up. I know the pain and discomfort is very debilitating. Take care, and hope you are able to do a concert another time. We still enjoy hearing you when you can play for us. My family and I are still working on fund raising to find a cure; in the meantime keep playing and singing mate. Yours, Aye. Dave |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: GUEST,Matt_R Date: 09 Feb 01 - 08:12 AM Thanks Dave. Yeah, it's bad. I'm on all kinds of meds now. On the 19th I'm going in for a test to see if it's Crohn's. |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: Ella who is Sooze Date: 09 Feb 01 - 08:30 AM Matt... Hope you feel better soon... I had something silimar for about a year... ended up in Casuality twice with it... and then it went after a while... It is terrible to have so much pain, that you actually throw up, and are bent double in agony... Have never experienced any other pain like it! I think it may have been linked to stress in my case - we are still not sure what it was... It comes back mildly every now and then... Horrendous... Get better soon! Ella |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: SINSULL Date: 09 Feb 01 - 08:37 AM Matt? Not well? Definitely try not to let it happen again. My cousin's two children have Crohn's and CF. There is no way to describe the pain. If it helps, I liked what I heard last night but you need a different "theme" song. |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: MMario Date: 09 Feb 01 - 08:41 AM Sorry about your flare-up, guy! |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: GUEST,Matt_R Date: 09 Feb 01 - 08:45 AM Thanks folks. Yeah, I've had UC for over 2 years now. But my current symptoms are not typical of UC. Now I've got terrible pain, severe loss of appetite, weight is dropping fast...and it seems not to be stress related. In some of my most stressful times, it has settled down. But there's no real pattern to these things. |
Subject: RE: CatConcert 13: Matt R From: John Routledge Date: 09 Feb 01 - 02:20 PM MATT - Sorry to hear of your dificulties. Here in UK there is an organisation called NACC dealing with your health difficulties specifically. If there is no equivalent in USA please PM and I will sort out details. NACC is a voluntary organisation run by actual sufferers with these dificulties and provides information and support to enquirers. Best wishes John |
