I did your trick Bill so though I'm still in Coblers Monday (see links page Shanties) I had a crash (not like your's Bill how your spare rib) So I ended up joining again as Tyke. That makes Two of us who have joined more than once. So Max's figures may not be correct.I enjoyed your wind up about No Smoking but lets not start that again. Sorry I have not been in touch but I did not want to risk making you laugh when your Ribs were sore. Cheers just going to look to see what the discusion about Paltalk is going. George (TYKE)

There are no less than six of us in this house alone-not that you can ever be alone with so many. We have me of course, Geoff the Duck, Little Duckling, Natasha, Mootlefish and Boats all in Pontefract.

Me too! I love being ASKED to reply like that, it's normally frowned upon.

I'm in East London.

Bill, my real name is *Paul* and I'm usually called the Shark or Sharky by Micca and others.

Ella, I'm usually at Chippenham. For years I aided Tom Gilmour in the Rose & Crown sessions and can often be found in the Irish sessions in the Old Road Tavern (formerly in the Borough). I'll be there with East Saxon Sword this year.

And there's me on the Herts Essex border. I'm on Bill's list of 58.

Looking at the Mudcat Locator it seems likely that there are more Mudcatters around here than anywhere else, apart from the USA. The Locator's got 29 for England, two each for Wales and Scotland, and one in Northern Ireland - for comparison there are 85 marked in the USA.

More of us should maybe put ourselves on the Locator - it doesn't involve putting addresses or anything like that, just town or county - or even country, since the Americans just do it by State, which are often bigger than most countries.

I suggest that we should make a point of flagging up a thread for any folk festivals we are planning to go to.

Here in sunny Sheffield ( but usually mentally somewhere north of the border). I've managed to meet Roger in Sheffield and Bernard and I'm sure I've met Malcolm Douglas as well. (only i'm not sure which one he was)

Calling all Near Reading People - what clubs/etc do you get to?

We go to :
The Swan at 3mileX - singaround every sat night - very open and inclusive & encouraging
Lion in Rdg (Readifolk)- folk club (non-smoking) with guest nights + singers nights.
Russ's Country nights at Miller's Arms Caversham (new Country/everything night which I highly recommend - alternate wednesdays, next being 21st Feb)

Also go to a whole bunch of festivals in the vicinity over the summer.

Might be fun to have a M'cat gathering sometime since there seem to be a few of us within reach?

Kris

will check in from the library as best I can,am having withdrawal symptoms already.

You don't know what you got till it's gone

Steve

How many's that so far?
