Subject: Need name of irish folk song From: GUEST,Sarah Ferguson Date: 09 Feb 01 - 12:14 AM I am looking for the name of an Irish folk song that I heard quite a few years ago on NPR's Saturday morning folk music program. The lyrics were actual letters between a family in Ireland and their child (children?) who had emmigrated to America. I believe the song was researched and made fairly recently (within five or six years?). I think there was a "dear mother" or "dear father" in the lyrics (A "dear" someone in any case). Any hints or advice on where else to look would be appreciated. Thanks! |
