Heya all, hoping you can help me here, once more I'm searching for something for a friend, and I've promised him that the peole at the magic website can help!

He's looking for music and lyrics to a De Dannan song called (He thinks) What Lies Ahead. It was apparently used as the theme song in the animated movie of the Hobbit, if that helps. Anyone?

Wavestar, I can't find anything on line about the soundtrack, I have the animated movie, and will look and see, but it will take me a while, OK? It's a copy, so I don't have the credits on the clamshell.

I wasn't aware that DeDannan worked on the movie.

Wavestar, no luck. I found the tape, I did tape the credits, but nothing on the theme song. Tom Clack did the sound, but I didn't find anything at his website either. What was playing at the end during the credits sounded suspiciously like Auld Lang Syne....... there were no words at the end.

"What lies ahead" would fit the scansion of Auld Lang Syne...When I have time, I will check the entire movie for lyrics.

I had no luck with searches on Hobbit, soundtrack, animated, DeDannan, Finn, Gavin, or various variants and combonations there of. I think your friend may be a little wet. (Alec Finn writes most of the original stuff DeDannan does)Sorry.

Sorch I just typed "The Hobbit" and "theme song" into Google and found it. I thought it was a dumb idea after your search but, lo and behold......
