Subject: Jinx's Stack re-launch From: GUEST,Kernow Jon Date: 18 Feb 01 - 03:44 AM There was talk a little while ago of this trio reforming alas this isn#t going to happen. Last night at the club however, we were treated to a floor spot from the new trio, Jinx Jenkins, Mike Kessel and new man Niall Timmings. A great 3 part harmony sound and the group are now called Hunter's Moon. Look out for them. KJ |

Subject: RE: Jinx's Stack re-launch From: GUEST,Kernow Jon Date: 18 Feb 01 - 04:18 AM Sorry Sledge should have made it clear. Harvest Moon can only be seen in the land of Kernow (Cornwall)at the moment.KJ |
Subject: RE: Jinx's Stack re-launch From: Hawker Date: 18 Feb 01 - 05:26 AM KJ, Should be good, Jinks & Kessel were part of the original JS line up anyway weren't they & Timmins is an Irish Multi instrumentalist / singer who was W Cornwall based for many years - now returned? good to have him back! I'll look out for them. Wasn't Jinks singing with Sylvia & Rowena from Wadebridge recently? was that a one off or is that still happening? Lucy |
Subject: RE: Jinx's Stack re-launch From: GUEST,Kernow Jon Date: 18 Feb 01 - 06:53 AM I think that was a one off Lucy. Niall (I think that's the spelling) is running a session at the Smugglers St. Erth on a Tuesday evening these days, well worth a visit if you are down this way. By the way did you know that Wadebridge is reverting to the title 'Cornish Folk Festival' this year. I saw the artist list last night and will post a thread as soon as Jon sends me a copy. KJ |

Subject: RE: Jinx's Stack re-launch From: GUEST,Kernow Jon Date: 18 Feb 01 - 07:38 AM Will do Burl, I see him most weeks. Mike and my wife were discussing the Accordian last night (he's just bought one) so they may be playing a couple of tunes together if they pluck up courage. KJ |
Subject: RE: Jinx's Stack re-launch From: Hawker Date: 18 Feb 01 - 04:18 PM Jon, saw your posting re Cornwall Folk Festival - Great idea! That was what it was originally anyway! Also saw that it may be moving round the county.....understand the sentiment but am not convinvced it would work.......It is good to have continuity, though I understand there may be a better place than Wadebridge for this event in Cornwall (No I am NOT saying bad things about Wadebridge, before I get shot down in flames!) Interested to hear how that idea goes. Have run children's workshops at Wadebridge for the last 2 years..... Now Steph has stepped down, who is organising? have not heard from anyone .......... Am available!!! Regards, Lucy |
