A friend is attending a Bluegrass Fest this weekend and wants to know where she can find Bluegrass lyrics, and I assume the tunes as well.
I was told by one that knows to just post a thread here and ya'll would be able to help with the matter so here I am asking for help for a friend.

Try
http://www.bluegrassnet.com/Songbook/songbook.html
Over a thousand songs here.
PS: I heard a very tasty version of "Summertime" done by a Bluegrass band last weekend. Anything can be foisted off as Bluegrass if you go about it properly. We always do at least one Beatles and one Greatfull Dead tune.
Good luck with the festival.

Katcina, also tell your friend to look for the Bluegrass Songbook edited by Peter Wernick.Oak Publcations, OK 63198 , ISBN 0.8256.0164.9.

This book, also known as the Redbook, is a must for bluegrass jams.It is also a great history book.

While taking a quick look at it again for this post, I ran across a picture of Sam Bush, David Grisman, and Tony Rice together. My God they all looked like teenagers.
