Sandra, you can find some of these songs (the first three anyway) at Lyrics World

You will have better results on the other songs if you post a different thread for each title.

Hi there. Lyrics World doesn't have the music, only the words. I need the music or chords for someone else to play (I am going to try to sing these in a couple of weeks at a casual function and cant find music to give the real musicians). I have the original Ketty Lester album these are on, but musically I am a neophyte (bought myself a keyboard just before Christmas and am trying to teach myself. I am on Book Two for small children so am way proud of myself! I now actually know what chords are!!). Thanks for any help.

I found this by using the 'Google' search engine, Sandra, typing in the title and the word 'chords'. I've no time to search for the rest now- maybe you'll have some luck that way?

What a joy it was to read that! I learned my first three chords when I was 21, from a visiting younger brother. He let me practise them for a whole ten minutes before he whisked the guitar away. Didn't get to use those chords again until I got a borrowed guitar four years later. I remember the thrill of that day as if it was happening today. Welcome to the wonderful world of music-making!

Thnxs for your help everyone. The music to "Where or When" was exactly what I wanted. I am afraid that There seems to be more than one version of the others though. The "P.S. I Love You" was written by Johnny Mercer, music by Gordon Jenkins. I have the words but no music or chords. "When I Fall in Love" is the version written by Edward Heyman, music by Victor Young. Again, I have words but no music or chords. I have searched via diff methods to no avail, but you know what its like, there is always yet another site out there you have never come across. The "Black Mountain Blues"(H. Cole) and Weeping Willow Blues"(P.Carter) are on a Bessie Smith CD. Again I have no music or chords. I am going to take Allan's advice and post each separately. Jande, I am 54 going on 18 and am really enjoying learning what things like sharps and flats are. Baa Baa Black Sheep never sounded so good. Cheers, Sandra.

Maybe think about becoming a regular MudCat member, once you check us out for awhile. This is the place for getting encouragement and support. Especially once the "honeymoon stage" wears off, and the "working through" part begins.

Hi. Well I sang for the first time in public on Friday at an amateur concert(of course, I've sung at partys, in the shower before, but never "performed"). It was also my first time for singing into a microphone. How wierd!! Anyway, I loved it, it went well, I was only slightly nervous, and I got lots of compliments (the best part!!). I couldn't sing what I wanted to sing though cos I was too late asking/getting music from this forum of the stuff I wanted. I sang "Dust in the Wind" (Kansas), "Somebodys knocking" (Terri Gibb), and "Wind Beneath My Wings" by you know who (not the real High bits yet, but some day). I am still looking for the Music/tabs/chords to "P.S. I Love You" as written by Gordon Jenkins and sung by Ketty Lester (NOT the Beetles P.S. I Love You). If anyone can help out, I would be greatful. Sandra, there has been a recent thread or two about using microphones- can anyone remember the name?
