On balance, I have to add I have also seen a lot of good humans have done. Maybe the job of conscious lemmings is to try to turn the tide....:>). ANyway, don't be hard on yourself for being human. First of all, it won't open the door to handling anything in particular. And second of all, you didn't get to fill in an application, anyway! Regards, A |

Subject: RE: BS: Reincarnation : I'd like to come back as From: Amos Date: 30 Mar 01 - 12:48 AM If you re-incarnate while still incarnate, you would by defintion be running two bodies. This would be a very enlightening process -- just imagine if you had to multitask, say, being a two-year old AND being a thirty-six year old without getting the duties mixed up. There's be bound to be some spillover, and we can only hope you'd end up being a wunderkindof a 2-year-old instead of a prematurely senile adult. There would be other challenges as well. For example, if you didn't compartment your own wissdom between the two identities you would have to go through grade school and put up with that kind of insanity while fully aware that it was absolute BS!! And suppose they were opposite genders!!! Your inner girl and outer boy would have no end of fisticuffs!! A |

Subject: RE: BS: Reincarnation : I'd like to come back as From: Amos Date: 28 Mar 01 - 05:49 PM Mattobo, where the hell is the "horn of Mexico!"? I think that guy should have his poetic license suspended!! As for past lives forming later ones, I think it isn't always a dramatic inheritance of your failures or some such, like being a beaver and then having to deal with the beaver's dams. Sometimes its just moving ahead on whatever long-term purposes you may have set. It is very clear to me that I was taken out of action by a large chunk of a (I think) boiler that become suddenly airborne during a naval battle or torpedoing incident and wiped out the whole half of the bridge I stood on. That of course is my best effort o put some kind of interpretation on images and memories a lot less vivid than ones from the current identitiy. Dunno why that is! We're such wusses about it!! Subject: RE: BS: Reincarnation : I'd like to come back as From: mousethief Date: 28 Mar 01 - 01:34 PM I was almost attacked by a golden eagle once. My buddy Will and I were hiking along a very narrow, high ridge up in the Cascades by the American River. As we got near the end we heard this very loud noise that sounded electronic, like the beep of a video game (this was about 1983), but much longer and louder. We couldn't tell where it was coming from at first, but eventually we saw a huge, beautiful bird diving at us, and screaming. We had decided not to go all the way to the end of the ridge after all, and doubled back double-quick, and dropped down a 25' cliff face on a rope to get out of the eagle's territory. Great memory. Beautiful bird. Excellent cardiac exercise too, to realize you're being warned off by a huge bird with really big talons, not to mention beak. Alex |

I would consider a tree though, but I don't know which one. I'd have to think about that one. I like the idea of a golden eagle as they are nearly extinct........ If I had complete freedom to choose without thinking of the karmic ramifications or mis-direction it may cost, I would like to be a large wild cat with guarantees of living well and free. As it is, there is always work to do and I suspect when it comes time to make the choice I will ask the gawd of my heart what is for my highest good and choose that, warts and all. I would hope this would include getting together with some *ships in the night* from this lifetime, people I'd really like to know better and/or be with more. BUT, the idea of taking one lifetime span off to go swim as a dolphin, or fly like a red-tailed hawk, or run like a wolf has definite attractions! katlaughing is fine for now, though |

Subject: Lyr Add: THE HIGHWAYMAN (Jimmy Webb) From: GUEST,Matt_R Date: 28 Mar 01 - 08:48 AM Here's a great song about past lives...it came out when I was 6 years old...simply one of the greatest songs ever. The Highwaymen I was a highwayman Along the coach roads I did ride With sword and pistol by my side Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade The bastards hung me in the spring of '25 But I'm still alive... I was a sailor I was born upon the tide With the sea I did abide I sailed a schooner round the horn of Mexico I went aloft and furled the main sail in a blow And when the yard broke off they say that I got killed But I'm living still... I was a dam builder Across a river deep and wide Where steel and water did collide At a place called Boulder, on the wild Colorado I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below They buried me in that grey tomb that knows no sound But I'm still around... I'll always be around, and around And around, and around, and around I fly a starship Across the universe divide And when I reach the other side I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can Perhaps I may become a highwayman again Or I may simply be a single drop of rain But I will remain... And I'll be back again, and again And again, and again, and again...
