Thanks Catrin, for starting the thread, and to micca... yes, I'm afraid I sang a parody!

Any more local or not-so-local 'Catters want to meet up? Directions to the Jolly Angler, Ducie Street, on request.

I want a tardis so I can pop over for things like this!

This doesn't sound like any places I know of in Manchester, VT; or Manchester, NH; or even Manchester, CT.

Are we talking about some 'furrin' locality?

Peter.

(It is probably a good idea to identify a country, or a US State or Canadian province, though. For instance, I think there's a Bristol in each of the six New England states, and Gawd knows how many elsewhere. And we have two Portlands, both good sized cities, and 3000 miles apart.)

Ok - I consider myself truly told off - buggering up both the date AND being ambiguous about the location.

How will I ever forgive myself?

THE DATE IS SATURDAY 31ST MARCH, AND THE LOCATION IS THE JOLLY ANGLER, MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, UNITED KINDOM.... GOTTITT???

Cheers,

Catrin :)

P.S. Bill? need some floor space? ............

That'll be about right, Geordie.

JohnB, Michael and Sheila behind the bar were discussing and tasting an interesting drink a couple of weeks ago at the Jolly Angler, and the name just happened to be spoken in a lull between verses of a song... orgasm is apparently a combination of Jameson and Bailey's. Would you still like a double?? :0) Not tried it myself...

Noreen, what would I do after drinking that? I gave up smoking about 25 years ago. There again our kids are 22 and 23 so I guess there are other things I did not give up. Listen carefully you may hear me joining in on the choruses. I will be thinking of you all there, maybe you could try multiple Orgasm's :)- JohnB

Well, we didn't get any singing done, because the fiddlers/pipers etc had already set up in the corner when we arrived, and were just beginning to flag at midnight.
However, we had a great time chatting and drinking a bit. We'll do the singing on Monday!!
Thanks for the lift back, JohnJ.
Cheers, Bron.

Glad you all enjoyed it. Can't make it tonight either I'm afraid. Spot is off in France buying all their surplus vin (he was there Sat. as well BTW) so I am hosting the White Lion where Stanley Accrington is on. Not much singing from me tonight then, but lots of listening, laughing, crying and thinking!

Have a good 'un and see you soon.

Thank you everyone for a smashing weekend.
Cheers, Bron.
