Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 'Spinning song' - Irish? From: GUEST,2feathers (I am NOT a guest, I am a member!) Date: 18 Apr 01 - 10:32 PM Thank you both kindly. This song was a favorite of a friend who died recently. Whenever we were at a sing, a weekend, a party, Ruth would ask me to sing it for her. When I would demur saying were a couple of other songs I'd like to sing when my turns came, she would plead with me to sing it, and I would. I have not sung it for a very long time, and the words were melting out of my brain. I am going to sing it again, tomorrow, and dedicate it to Ruth. Happy traveling, Ruth. Your voice and smile linger on. |
