I'm going to a workshop today for flatpicking guitar given by Robin Kessinger. I've heard him on CD's and he's HOT! Supposedly he is also a good teacher. I'll have to let you know how it goes. You can check him out here, at the Fret n Fiddle. Any Robin Kessinger fans here at the mudcat?

Oh my goodness you guys have to check this guy out!!! I am so excited about learning all my new material that I got at the workshop and trying out some of the new (to me)chord progressions Robin gave us.

Robin is an extremely talented picker. He grew up in a musical family so it's no wonder that he decided at the age of twelve that he wanted to be a guitar player.

Robin and Kate Long did a concert last night that was absolutely delightful! She did a song she wrote called "Root Hog or Die". Back home in West Virginia her friends told her that those west coast people won't make pig noises. Boy were they wrong! She handed out a sheet with choruses from 10 of her songs and encouraged us to all sing along. It was great!

Please check out their schedule at the bottom of this page. They will be in Bellingham Washington so all you in BC will have a chance to get down there too! Please go, you won't be disappointed, I promise you!

Enthusiasically, Margo
