Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Big Mick Date: 21 Apr 01 - 01:58 PM Thanks for pointing that out, Malcolm. I was going to do the same. Mudcatters love to help, but the best help is to get folks used to doing the Forum/DT search FIRST, and then asking. All the best, Mick |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Dharmabum Date: 21 Apr 01 - 03:35 PM Thanks again guys, sorry to put you through the trouble. I did a search before posting, but was looking under No Man's Land instead of Green Fields. I'd found the lyrics in the DT just fine, but was vague on the chords. I'll be sure to do a more extensive search next time. Thanks,DB. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Big Mick Date: 21 Apr 01 - 04:14 PM Hey DB, no slight intended to you at all. You have been around a while and are a great Mudcatter. I usually point it out just to get people in the mode of using it. All the best, Mick |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Dharmabum Date: 21 Apr 01 - 04:42 PM No slight taken Mick. Went back & did another search & realized I hadn't set the wayback machine far enough the first time. Your help is really appreciated. It's folks like you & Malcolm that make the Mudcat such a great place. DB. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Irish sergeant Date: 21 Apr 01 - 04:49 PM Dharmabum; I did the same things and was too stupid to ask. Thanks Kindest reguards, Neil |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Dharmabum Date: 21 Apr 01 - 05:05 PM I had never touched a computer until a year & a half ago.I still find this cyberbox to be somewhat overwhelming at times. Especially when I screw up the simple little things! But thanks to the good folks here at Mudcat I'm learning. DB. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Malcolm Douglas Date: 21 Apr 01 - 10:14 PM Hey, we've all been there, and I'm only a few months ahead of you: like Mick, I point these things out so that people will know what to try next time. A search for "No Man's Land" did the trick for me, but I always use the "DT and Forum" search now, because it searches thread bodies as well as titles, so you get much more useful results. The "filter" thing has its uses, but it really isn't as helpful. Malcolm |

Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: breezy Date: 21 May 04 - 05:02 AM May I suggest that before you get into it listen to June Tabor's version on her anthology album. this is the standard that all others are compared with, no diss Eric Its a shame that a certian irish band messed it up Glad you've found it. Unfortunately its been done to death. |
Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: NO MAN'S LAND From: Flash Company Date: 21 May 04 - 05:12 AM One of the songs I can't sing now, I break up at the beginning of verse two usually. I agree with breezy about certain Irish bands, we had that one on a Juke box at a social club I used to go to. I played it once, that was enough! Now 'Murphy & the bricks' was another story (Different Irishman, too.) FC |
