Come find me -- I'll be at the Dusty Strings booth in the Instrument Emporium most of Saturday and Sunday and performing with Telynor on the Northwest Court stage on Monday at 4:20.

I'll second that, Lin. My first Folklife was in 1983, performing with two friends from Portland. When I moved to Seattle I joined the Sacred Cow Harmogenizers...are they still around? I hear Col. Sandy Bradley is no longer doing her instrument auction. Many fond memories of Seattle Center over the years. Have fun, everybody!

The Folklife Website http://www.nwfolklife.org/folklife/ has the schedule posted now. Although there may be some changes, it's pretty well set. John P. I'll see you at the Dusty Strings booth. I can always use/want/desire another guitar. 'Cause that's what a guitarist needs, just one more.

Oh yes, be sure to catch the Maritime Concert on Saturday.

Lin, any excuse to give Cali and Alden hugs is not to be missed. How come I don't know who you are??

Mark, I think the Sacred Cow Harmogenizers were at the festival last year, so we can hope they are still around. Yes, last year was Sandy's last auction. I'm not surprised she gave it up -- it has turned into a LOT of work every year. I think The Trading Musician is doing it this year.

Benjamin, yes John Calvin is still being stalwart and true at Dusty Strings. I think the place would come unravelled without his calm presence.

Matthew the Chanteyman, I assume from your name that you'll be singing at the Maritime Concert? I think my friend William Pint told me he and Felicia would be there as well. Do you know them? Unfortunately, we won't have any guitar at the Dusty Strings booth, just the harps and hammered dulcimers.

It looks like maybe I won't have to be at the Dusty Strings booth most or all of Sunday . . .yippee . . .One full day I can handle.

I'll be there on Sunday, playing with a group called 'Small Potatoes' (not the one from back east, but from Vancouver BC.... We are playing at 12:20, not sure which stage..... Performers studio or something....

i'll try and come by dusty strings on sunday too......

I'll be there doing my usual spot at the Exibition Lawn Stage, Sunday at 4:20 PM. We are still moving into our abode in Carson WA but should be able to make the Sat and Sun stuff and even catch the instrument auction on Monday. Sandy Bradley does'nt run the auction but I understand she will be the auctioneer.Mudjack

John, I've known Cali since she was a mere child of 20-something, and Alden since shortly after they met--but after they moved "across the water" and I moved to Auburn, we didn't see each other much, unfortunately. You and I have probably met at Dusty Strings at one time or another, and just didn't know it!

Gad, sometimes I miss Washington State! Have a great time at Folklife.

John, you've really got me missing it now... I was pleased to hear William's renditions of "Harbo and Samuelson" and "Hearts of Gold" show up on anthology CDs from Waterbug music. I haven't heard him in quite a while. I remember an awesome shanty sing in a stairwell one year when the Sat. night performer's party was held in a school. Bob Kotta and William and Felicia and Mariide and Pat Thompson and Chris Roe and....and....and...man, would I love to have a shanty sing like that on the shore of Hilo Bay! (Who cares if it's the wrong Hilo!)
