Subject: Things that make you go mmmmm From: Dave the Gnome Date: 22 May 01 - 06:50 PM Just back from the Yorkshire gathering. Full of bon homie and beer. Thinking about how mudcat bridges any gaps and I got infatuated with Anthony John Clarkes song "The Broken Years". It is originaly about the troubles in Belfast but can be applied to anywhere where there is opression or injustice. Sent shivers down my back and to lay it to rest I need to share the words of the chorus.
I want to eat at the same table The other one, in a totaly different vein, that I always think about when I am away from home is Spencer the Rover -
His children ran to him with their prittle-prattling stories Always makes me miss the little buggers - even though they are all grown up now! Anyone else got any spine tingling songs? Cheers Dave the Gnome |
