Song Melodies

Does anyone know of a source for printed melody lines for songs (in general)? Chords don't help much if you don't have a good grip on the basic tune and I haven't found midi's to be all that helpful, they tend to sound more like a dump truck backing up than music. Any clues for the clueless?

There are a lot of free sheet music links at this site; you can read them online or print them out: Free Sheet Music Links

also, someone just put in a link to this BBC site which shows the music and has a midi to play along with, for some trad. tunes, at a slower than normal speed for those working them up: BBC Virtual Session.

There are a few others I will dig up tomorrow for you.

Another Digital Traditon (click here), scroll down and find a lot of the melodies in the DT (at MudCat) in sheet music form. Look for "Songs with Tunes". Also, do a search for JC's Tunefinder; lots of great stuff there.
