James Taylor, Buffy St.Marie, The Byrds, Sandy Denny and Richard Thompson, Steeleye Span, Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick, Spencer Davis with Sneaky Pete Kleinow and all those mentioned above. What a line-up! It was advertised as being a festival of wooden music but when the Byrds burst into So You Wanna Be a Rock´n´roll Star the whole place just erupted. Ahhhhh......those were the days....

Thats the one all right! So I got the year wrong - I was only one out. Also Sonny Terry & Brownie McGee, Ralph McTell. Those were the days, as you said

I can't remember the year, but yes I was there. A one day festival with a superb line up.

The following year, they tried to throw a heap of money at the project and turn it into an event lasting several days. They cocked it up, and it never happened again.

Thanks for the reminder,

Brian

I will have to search for the programme - but I could copy it. You would have to send me contact details. Or I could scan it, but don't want to send it down my dial-up line!
