From: harpgirl Date: 04 Jul 01 - 09:23 AM ...hi all...we have a local store which does 80% of its business over the web...I'm thinking about a new guitar...what do you think about these Larrivees? Subject: RE: Andysguitars.com : Have a look! From: Murray MacLeod Date: 04 Jul 01 - 12:47 PM Harpgirl, do you know if this is the same Andy's Guitars which used to have a store in South Miami ? The sign is still up but the store has been closed ever since I have been here. I assunmed they had gone out of business, but maybe they relocated in Tallahassee. Murray |

Subject: RE: Andysguitars.com : Have a look! From: John Hardly Date: 04 Jul 01 - 01:26 PM andysguitars Larrivee's are of VERY consistent quality. I like them (own one) but you just have to play one to decide. I suggest that you play one for a while and that you alternate with another off and on, because one thing that's a little different, and you may not quickly notice, is the neck is a little wider and flatter than some. |
Subject: RE: Andysguitars.com : Have a look! From: Bluebelle Date: 04 Jul 01 - 02:53 PM Larrivee dreadnoughts have a 1 11/16 nut width. Jumbos have 1 3/4 nut width. The "flat" is called the profile and, yes, they are low profile, which makes them easy to play. |
