Darlene (Gillespie) was my favorite; she recorded "Buckwheat Cakes" from a Disney MMC flick, maybe "Westward Ho The Wagons"?

I remember the chorus:

My fiancee was named for Annette Funicello. She hates her name. Her name matters not a whit to me. I love her even if she was called Fred.

I LOVE this song (which I listened to over and over as a little girl) and still remember the chorus to this day. I was just wishing I could remember the entire song, so thank you for posting it! It really takes me back to a special part of my childhood.

I suspect these words won't be found on the 'net. But -- you can always spend $25 for The Disney Fake Book and get lots of lyrics. (or go to a large music store and steal a peek)

Aw, Annette was my first love. I think your memory is pretty close on the lyrics, but I can't find a text. Click here for a Google search on the song. I didn't check all the sites - maybe it's in one of those links.

Does anyone remember the lyrics from the Disney serial "Annette" that was on the Mickey Mouse Club? She sang a really pretty song while the characters were on a hayrack ride. I think it might have been called "How Will I Know My Love?"

What I can remember of it is this:
