I'm passing this info, from a friend, along for any of those who'd be interested.

Barry
Bones Fest is the annuall gathering of the Rhythm Bones Society. It brings bones players from all over the world together to share their styles. Last year saw 44 bones players from Ireland to California gather in Chatanooga,Tn for three days. This year, we have Nick Driver coming from England, Mel Mercier from Ireland, Gerad Arsenault from Quebec, and bones players from Maine to Texas decending upon the Red Apple Farm on August 3rd., 4th., and 5th. for mayhem and merriment. Friday is an openjam with Irish, French/Canadian/and Peurto Rican muscians. Saturday each player gets to say how they came to the bones and demonstrate their style, Saturday night is an public performance for any interested bones player. Sunday is a wrap up and farewell day. The week end is $35.00 for members,$40.00 for non-members and includes food on all days, a t-shirt and program. A one day fee of $25.00 for saturday is available. The Red Apple Farm is located in Phillipston,Ma. in North Central Massachusetts, off Route 2, take exit 19 1.2miles on route 2A to Highland Ave, #455 or follow the signs to The Red Apple Farm. Maybe your family will take pity on you and let you come. This truly is the only event like this in the world. Take Care, Steve Brown.

Now there's an idea to conjure with--a weekend of bones. Next, we'll have the massed bones and bodhrans of the Celtic Guards.

Why you 2 old dogs. I reckon if it weren't for your lack of teeth & overabundance of years, you old mutts, your posts would have a bit of bite to them. I can hear Big Mick's saying in the backround "Bite Me" & I'll haller with laughter. Now some of these people are some of the foremost bones players in the world. These are masters of their instruments & anyone who has an interest in bones. can take this post to the kennel dish & swallow. From your loving Pussycat (it always is good to get your comical posts, keeps things from becoming to mushy). Barry

I wish I cold attend. These are truly the best players around. They are working hard to maintain a tradition that has been so forgotten that well-intentioned people actually thought this posting may have been a hoax.

Hi Mike, they actually do know that, they're having a good laugh at my expense. I would say that they're both mighty respectfull of good players (being a couple themselves) but not near as much respect for my very sensitive feelings. Oh well, I got no problems with tossing the sh*&%$#@!it back with the best them. Barry

This means one carefully dropped bomb could improve sessions all over the world.

OK, so I play bones myself, but some one had to say it. :-)
