I am doing research on country/folk music history and I am running into a brick wall in locating info on Mrs. Texas Gladden. Can you help, or put me in the direction of sources that can?

Thanks,

Lauri

The liner notes on the Rounder recording of Texas Gladden are a pretty good place to start; the recording itself is a better place.

Check the Rounder Catalogue http://www.rounder.com/rounder/catalog/bylabel/roun/1/1800/1800.html

Thanks for the point in the right direction. I've ordered the cd and am anxious to read and listen.

What you all should realize is that Dick Greenhaus, at Camsco.com, could have sold the CD to you, probably for even less money, and Dick gives the Mudcat a commission. Support the fellow who has given us the Digital Tradition and help the Mudcat at the same time. Makes sense to me!

Sandy (not connected to Camsco, just grateful)

You might also find something on:

http://www.alan-lomax.com/

(Well, I think I saw a photo of her and Lomax there, but it might have been on the Rounder site).

Do tell us more about your research project!

George
