I haven't yet seen a thread to honor those known to us who were lost on Tuesday. I would like to begin by honoring a morris man from a town near me, a member of our local morris community:
Chris Carstanjen
Also, prayers of hope for Steve Adams, who is missing.
Blessings, Chris and Steve.

Here's to the morris we love so well,
We'll teach to our sons and our daughters,
Here's to our ribbons and here's to our bells,
And here's to our jolly green garters.

The moon rose over the harbor
and was confused by what he saw
"those enormous buildings, down yonder
I looked but I don't know where they are."

They were new they were shiny and friendly
I enjoyed how they reached for the stars
they twinkled and glimmered most brightly
With the dreams I could feel from afar

Oh! spotlights and workers and mourners
They've fallen like many before
I'll miss them like all of the thousands
Who once thought to knock at my door

Keep building my friends for I thank you
For thinking of me all the time
Wall-builders, pharoahs and caliphs
Forever you stay in my mind

I was loney before all your dreaming
Built greetings meant only for me
I know you will never stop building
Your gifts though they fall to the sea.

I,hurricane, that is stunning. Thank you.

Animaterra, I am sor sorry about your friend. Thanks for starting this. We had, some of us, posted to the NY Catters Check in thread and also Missing at WTC, where I posted lot of information links, but neither were really for this purpose.

Alison Kelley is still awaiting word about Derran Bohan, as far as I know.

May Peace Fill Thee,

kat

I got an email last night from Mudcatter Lucius, a good friend of Chris and Steve:
"I've lost two dear friends. I will never finish our half-dangling conversations nor tell them how special they were."
Tonight we'll be singing in Brattleboro, VT for them and for us all.

More sorrow....I am so sorry, dear one. I will be singing with you in my heart.

For others who may still be missing, WNBC has a place where one can post a photo of their missing friends or relatives. I hope this helps someone.

I,hurricane,
Please post your poem/song to one of the links about songs for 9-11-01, if you have not done so. It is too special to be buried in this link.

Animaterra,
Thanks so much for the photos and info; they help put the real human face on this tragedy. I am on the West Coast, and it's hard to come to grips with the reality of it all without these human touches.

I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss to the music community.

Genie
