Kids Song Challenge

When I was on holiday I saw a Tee shirt for a small child with the following logo, and it seemed to cry out for a song to be written, using it as a title. The shirt said:- " I'm 2 years old, and there's nothing you can do about it!" I don't know about you folks out there but it worked for me, still laughing 2 weeks later.

I agree, Jock... that's a great song idea -- all about the value of patience in the face of frustration, and the inevitability of time... I can see other verses too, about 13 year olds, and 50 year olds, and...

I just can't think of any specific lyrics, just yet... ;-) but I'm thinking!

Maybe this refresher will prompt others to give it a try, too.

Is "Genie" short for "genius?" I sat in a doctor's waiting room one afternoon, listening to a gorgeous little blonde monster climb the walls in a "pay attention to me" tantrum. The embarrassed mother looked sheepishly around the room and said, "She's two!" The entire assembly broke into relieved laughter. I guess we'd all been through it with our own. Neat moment.

Haven't got any firm ideas yet... but it's still sort of swimming 'round the back of my head..

Hmmm... suddenly, this reminded me of Emily Dickenson's "I'm nobody. Are you nobody, too?"
