Subject: RE: Countdown to Llanstock ll From: Llanfair Date: 07 Oct 01 - 04:26 PM Mrs Duck, the action will be taking place at the Institute, which is not a pub, so children welcome. THERE WILL NOT BE A BAR. However, arrangements have been made for a barrel of "Cloud Nine" to be available, courtesy of Trevor, and an honesty box will be nearby. If you drink other stuff, the pubs are nearby, and the Spar sells drink. Sorry to keep going on about this, but I don't want people to be without their favourite tipple. Hot food will be served as needed, and I think the chippy is open till 9. Pippins shuts at 8. I think Friday night will be a sort of party to welcome the Friday arrivals and get thoroughly "Warmed up" Pippins will be open for breakfast 9-30ish, and there will be alternative breakfast at my mum's. PM me for my mobile number if you are not sure about anything. Cheers, Bron. |

Subject: RE: Countdown to Llanstock ll From: alanww Date: 09 Oct 01 - 04:48 AM Mudguard In order to get on the plane, you could make sure that you do not look like a left-wing hippy! How about wearing a suit, shirt and woolly tie (plus red braces and a bowler hat?) The only drawback would be that, looking like that, you probably wouldn't get across the border into rural Wales where al the sheep live. They'll think you are one of those ex-public schoolboys, who have very strange sexual tendencies .... "Swing low, sweet Chariot ...!" |
Subject: RE: Countdown to Llanstock ll From: Mrs.Duck Date: 09 Oct 01 - 12:58 PM Bron, I have just been looking at the Llanfair site and although the train timetable shown is for 200 it does seem to imply that the railway will not be running next weekend - can you confirm that as I had sort of promised the kids a train ride to Welshpool. Subject: RE: Countdown to Llanstock ll From: Llanfair Date: 10 Oct 01 - 03:36 AM Sorry, Andy.
