No....you're not alone...........It was my drink of choice for years. Jack and Coke. Fill the glass with ice and Jack. Show the glass a can of Coke. Drink up. Repeat.

Mixed correctly in this manner, one can of Coke will last through numerous fifths of Winchester's Finest.

Well 'Fox, to be truly a cretin about it, my first preference is to pour the glass two-thirds full and then throw in salted peanuts to fill. Very nutritional.

Sorry, but I find JD undrinkable unless totally drowned with coke. Guess it comes from being spoilt, living as I do in the land of the finest single malt whiskies in the world.

Reminds me of the Travis McGee in MacDonalds mysteries.
Pour a good sherry over ice. Dump the sherry. Fill with good Bombay gin and drink.
Personally, I'll stick with Highland Park single malt. Use a crystal glass. A little room temp. water on the side but no ice.
Sour mash is OK for making eggnog, but little else (perhaps antiseptic use?).
