I suppose he'll have to use the other hand for a while. But that's OK cause, sometimes, it feels like somebody else. A change is as good as a rest, they say.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Eric.

I spoke to Eric tonight He is at home but his hand is bandaged up. He has to stop using it for two weeks. His computer is inaccessable at the moment as well so he won't be able to use Mudcat. But despite all of his problems he sounded cheerful, probably because he is having at least two weeks off work.

Have a good rest, and no playing this time!

Hope it's a success - then you can hit them with TWO!!

Eric: I could do with two weeks off work - would you lend me a hand, perhaps? :-)
I hope the limb's not too painful for you to make the most of your enforced rest (other than playing the guitar, of course!). Get well soon!

Hope you can stand to be *off* for two weeks, enjoy everything you wouldn't normally do if you had two hands to do it with?!**BG**

Maybe one of you others can print this out for him OR read it to him over the phone?

Mend well and come back soon, without pushing it!

Eric: "Doctor...will I be able to play the guitar properly after this has all healed up...?"

Doc: "Of course you will Eric...the operation was a great success...!"

Eric: "Oh that's good Doc, 'cos I couldn't before...!"

Just kidding of course Eric...the old ones are the best! Aren't we?

Get well soon and looking forward to seeing (and your guitar) in Brussels!

All the best,

Haven't you ever thought what a coincidence it is that your hands are stuck on the end of your arms, just where they'll come in handy.

Cheers!

Never mind the carpel tunnel, we've got the Channel Tunnel to worry about next! Can we park in the Disabled bay at Stansted Airport? Can we stuff our instruments under your wheelchair? Will they let a Nordic Fundamentalist from Bradford onto the plane? Is it significant that this injury is from repetitive strain? Why does ETV look like Eric Trans Vestite? So many questions.

Glad you have taken yourself in hand, and faced the consequences, my friend. Mend soon, and we'll play some before the Cafuffle in Brussels.

It occurs to me that wishing Eric "get well soon" is a bit, er ... tautological...? because if he's not using his pc, he won't be able to read any of this until he's better.

Hope you got better quickly, mate.

Eric, now is the time for you to share the discovery I made several years ago. I found out that I am actually ambidextrous, yes yes, it's true.....
I CAN DO F**K ALL WITH EITHER HAND!!
Hope this is some consolation!!?

Well, thank you all I am touched to have had,but missed, your support.

I asked the doc for some musical talent, but as I was last in line, they'd run out-so it's back to 2 and a half chords for me.

It was my picking hand, and my nose has been blocked for 2 weeks now!

It's worse going to the loo left handed-aim not as good and toilet paper goes astray!(only joking)

trying to do my flies up and the top button on my jeans was a problem-nothing changed there then!

Gareth keep off my bloody sheep-but I'll know by smell if you got there!

Cheers all

Eric
