Subject: Greenfields of Dundee (Watt Nicoll) From: Snuffy Date: 10 Jan 02 - 07:18 PM I've been invited to sing a few comic Scottish songs at a Burns night party. I'm trying to resist "Donald where's your troosers", but will probably do Billy Conolly's Wellies song. I discovered that this one does not seem to be in the DT or the forum. I have it on a 4-CD "Best of Folk" set, which also has Watt Nicoll singing "Borderlands". Apart from that I have never knowingly heard any of his work. Can anyone recommend him?

I have two of his LPs "Ballad of the Bog" and "Watt is a Four Letter Word" and his song book. He wrote songs which were very funny at the time. Last time I saw him was on a TV programme, he was living in a Scotish castle and doing something very eccentric but I can't remember exactly what Bill

I recall that he got into some trouble when some punter either sued him or something, I know it got splashed about the Scottish Sunday Mail. He also became famous for being one time England Footie Manager Kevin Keegan's motivation consultant, all part of the Jock Master Plan of taking over the wurld and ripping the pish oot o' the Sassenachs.
