Subject: RE: lyric req the routers From: GUEST,MCP Date: 29 Jan 02 - 04:01 PM Blunt tools notwithstanding, what you probably want is available in the thread The Rout Of The Blues If you use that lovely box marked "Digitrad and Forum Search" and type in Rout of the Blues (or even Rout would probably do) and Go/return you'll find quite a few references to it in other discussion threads. Subject: RE: lyric req the routers From: Dave Bryant Date: 30 Jan 02 - 07:33 AM Yes, it's amusing the way that lyrics are often mis-heard. Obviously it should have been "The rout has now come for the blues". I can remember that one old irishman at a folk club was forever asking me to sing a song about sailing round the coast of Ireland. He insisted that he'd heard me sing it and I couldn't think of any song of that description in my repertoire. One day I sang a well known McColl song and afterwards he said "That's the one - The Shores of Erin". Didn't say much for my diction though ! |
