Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Jonah song/Drunken Sailor tune From: Joe Offer Date: 08 Dec 20 - 02:55 AM I'll have to remember this when I teach about Jonah in Bible Study. I think it's the funniest book in the Bible, certainly a very colorful Hebrew folk tale. I keep a file of examples of biblical humor. Jonah is best, but the beginning and end of Job are also very funny. And the deuterocanonical story of Tobit being blinded by bird poop is a classic. |
