Anyone using AudioGalaxy, Kazaa, or similar programs should take a look at this: http://www.wired.com/news/privacy/0,1848,49960,00.html In the last year, several people have mentioned using these programs. It's not necessarily a good idea. Sorry about the lack of a direct link; I learned how and forgot because I never used the knowlege.

I have had a great deal of fun typing in such things as "*.txt" or "*.doc" and receiving resumes, tax records, term papers from strange folk I don't know, most of them, for some strange reason in the Carolinas and Georgia. Try it - it is fun!

I tried to download Audiogalaxy and had a problem so I gave it up. I was thinking of trying again. So what's the scoop - is it safe or not??? I'm starting to have second thoughts.

My post means that using these programs may leave you wide open to malicious hackers.

Everything on the internet is as private as a public restroom. Everyone knows what everyone else is, sees, pretends.
