Hello

I'm looking for lyrics and tab to some of the Stunnings songs. A band from Galway popular in Ireland during the early 90's. Can anyone tell me where I can buy some albums either?

Cheers

Mj

Yeah, I remember them - they played Feile each year.

A couple of links:

The Stunning years
Steve and Joe Wall who fronted them are now The Walls
The Stunning's albums listed here

Can't find any tab though, sorry.

Funny you should mention the Stunning as I'm hearing this song on French radio a lot these days
by a professional smart-arse called Murat and I swear it's the riff off 'Brewing Up a Storm' by The Stunning.
Do the lads have a good lawyer ???

Hi folks, a friend told me to check out this page. I was the lead singer with The Stunning. As Fibula said correctly, our new band is The Walls. We released our debut album "Hi-Lo" 2 years ago and U2 were so impressed with it they asked us to support them at Slane last September!!! Our website is www.thewalls.ie and you'll find a Tabs page where there are lyrics and chords to some Stunning songs as well as new tunes. You can also buy the album from the site (hint, hint). One of our songs is featured on a radio ad for Harp Lager which is currently running in the States. We hope to get over to the US for some gigs next May.

And Paddy Plastique - I'd love to hear that French tune. Where can I get a copy?

Hello Steve,

Amazing the people you run into on here! Well - as to that French tune, best I can do is
point you to their equivalent of Virgin or HMV, here: FNAC Put in, under 'Recherche' (Search) 'Le moujik et sa femme' which will find the album
and the track is track 2 'L'au-dela' (the beyond/the other side). You can listen to a Real Player sample there.
The bloke's name is Jean-Louis Murat and he's a very good, intelligent songwriter - but whenever I hear, or see him,
interviewed, his arrogance and levels of self-satisfaction do me head in. As an aside, he's on that Leonard Cohen
tribute album from 10 years ago 'I'm Your Fan' along with a couple of Irish bands (Petrols, Cathal Coughlan) and John Cale's
great version of 'Hallelujah'. Murat does a translation into French of 'Avalanche'
Even listening again to the Real Player sample, I'm still expecting it to be your track. Tell us what you think, anyway...

cheers, PP
