Subject: Garnet Rogers: Thursday on FR/FB From: Mike Regenstreif Date: 27 Mar 02 - 01:31 PM Garnet Rogers will be joining me in the studio this week on Folk Roots/Folk Branches. Garnet began his musical career in the 1970s playing fiddle, flute and guitar alongside his brother, the late Stan Rogers. Thrust into a solo career in 1983, Garnet has built his own well-deserved reputation as one of Canada's finest singers, songwriters and musicians. "Firefly," Garnet's ninth album, was released late last year to great critical acclaim. As usual, there'll be lots of other great music on the show. Folk Roots/Folk Branches is heard Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:30 on CKUT, 90.3 FM in the Montreal area, or in RealAudio from the Folk Roots/Folk Branches website. Mike Regenstreif |
