Hi -I was hoping that someone out there could give me the title and lyrics to this old scout song that I heard a while ago-It goes And the bears were bearing it here And the bears were bearing it there They were bearing it here Bearing it there Bearing it everywhere- That is all that I can remember-Any help is appreciated

That sounds like a scouting version of old Macdonald.

Saw two guys perform this one at a folk club about 30 years ago. Laughed so much I almost had to be hospitalised. The tune is Old MacDonalds farm basically. Make up verses as you will.
eg The bulls were bulling it
the cocks were cocking it
etc. be imaginative and have fun.

The version I recall is: I be a farmer's boy/And a farmer's boy be I/And I looks after my master's sheep/ And the rams are ramming here/and the rams are ramming ther/here a ramming there a ramming/ramming everywhere Chorus: To plough and sow and reap and mow/ To be a farmer's boy/To be afarmer's boy... then carry on with chickens/cocking and any other mild obscenities that spring to mind.Tune sort of drifts from Old Mcdonald via stoke hornpipe to farmers boy

Used to sing this to Old Macdonald (with appropriate actions) at the Students Union in Cardiff ca 1970-74.
