Is this the old chesnut "Beautiful, beautiful brown eyes"? The last line of the chorus is "I'll never love blue eyes again."

a couple other thoughts here..."Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain"...Willie Nelson;......or "Blue Eyes"...Carter family....(I'm thinking tonight of my blue eyes)

Both are in the database here. AND both songs (I think anyway)are great for slide guitar.

I'll never see those blue eyes again is the correct title and it was written and recorded in the late 1920s or early 1930s and I believe Pop Stoneman recorded it.I do have the words in one of my song books and I will eventually find it and will post when I do unless someone post beats me to it.Louie Roy

Ah, ah, ah! Louie Roy, you are indeed a hero among men. Will make our slide guitarist VERY happy, has been rambling around his brain for a while now. I await with bated breath your lyrics. Thanks so very much. If there are chords, too, that would be an added bonus. Thanks!

I'm unable to find any song with that exact title, or containing those exact lyrics "I'll never see those blue eyes again" – by Ernest Stoneman or anyone else.

The closest I've gotten are these:

A. P. Carter's I'M THINKING TONIGHT OF MY BLUE EYES

Johnny Cash's I STILL MISS SOMEONE contains the line "I never got over those blue eyes"

BEAUTIFUL BROWN EYES contains the line "I'll never love blue eyes again"

would it be this one?

Last evening as the sun was low
my brown eyes whispered "I must go
...
now I sigh for those brown eyes
since strangers they have turned to me
