Trying a Song Circle in Hyattstown (Clarksburg) MD Sunday eve, April 14, 7:30, at the old Hyattstown Mill. Sponsored by the Hyattstown Mill Arts Project. Attempt to see if there is any support for this kind of thing in the area. The Mill is off 355 on the Hyattstown Mill Road that runs into Little Bennett Park next to the firehouse just south of Rt 109.

It's bit of a jaunt for us here in Silver Spring, but we'll see. Does one bring one's own refreshment? Alcohol welcome or no? Is there a contact name and telephone #? If not this one, we'll try for a later one. Keep us posted.

The Mill isn't heated (historical restoration restrictions) so if it's chilly, wear a sweater. We've had some beer and wine at past functions, Art openings, poetry readings, etc.

The Hyattstown Mill is a really cool place to do music. I did some sound work there for a concert a few years ago. It was a delightful setting for a musical afternoon.

Foe, I would be there but am travelling to Chicago to haunt one of my old Open Mics ... Let me know if you want to do it again. Some chantey singers I know may want to come along.

I 'think' it was a one time, or short lived event. The local FSGW newsletter doen't mention it recently. There are other area song circle or jams in several genrés that happen regularly. This lists some of them
