So where is the wreckage of the airplane that supposedly hit the Pentagon on 9/11, hmmm? This site walks you through some photographic evidence which, amazingly, doesn't show an airplane!

Guest has apparently never participated in an aircraft accident investigation, and has never seen reports from one.

Suffice to say that direct head-on collision with a solid object seldom leaves more than a few pieces that an untrained observer could identify as "airplane" even at close hand.

The "conspiracy" here is about like asking "what happened to the air" when a toy balloon has burst.

This happened within an hour or so of the WTC. There seem to be only a few options if a plane was not involved:

1. An amazing co-incidence of two unrelated attacks

2. The terrorists come up with the warped-but-clever idea of using commercial planes for the towers but then decide to use a truck against the Pentagon - exactly the sort of attack it was designed to withstand in terms of architecture and survellence, entrance gates, etc etc

3. The Pentagon decides to 'do an Enron' to get rid of material they didn't want people to see. I don't believe they could organise themselves that quickly.

Sorry, Guest, but I don't buy it.

Polls show that Global Coincidence theory has long been embraced by the general public, but a handful of scientists remain skeptical. "I've seen their data, and I still wonder if perhaps there's not some kind of cause-and-effect relationship that we should be addressing," said Dr. Kathryn Burke of the Sierra Club. "I believe Global Coincidence may be one possible scenario, but we need to do more studies, including some that point to possible linkages between events, if they exist."

That kind of reaction angers Global Coincidence proponents like Dr. Christian Barstow of the World Climatic Coincidence Fund. "More studies? How long do we have to wait before these apologists realize the results are already in?" he said. "It's time to accept that Global Coincidence is very real, and that if we don't do something, it's only going to get worse.

"And also if we do do something, it's only going to get worse," he added. "That's the nature of this beast."

SPREADING COINCIDENCE?

Intrigued by the climate studies, some scientists are now investigating the influence of Global Coincidence in a number of unexplored areas. Researchers at the U.S. State Department are using GC to separate U.S. foreign policy decisions and international reaction to U.S. foreign policy decisions. In health care, Global Coincidence has already produced startling results.

But already, detractors are becoming increasingly rare. Some credit overwhelming evidence in favor of Global Coincidence. Others point to an exchange last week at the first annual International Conference on Incredible Global Coincidence between a statistical logician and Suter of the Climatological Happenstance Center.

Logician: "Look, everything is not a coincidence. I mean, if you shoot me with a gun and I die, that's not a coincidence. You have a gun. You pull the trigger. Bang. I'm dead."

Suter: Ah, but what if I actually happen to have a gun on me right now?

Logician: Well, OK, I admit, that would be a...

After the applause died down, Suter drove home his point that there is no point in looking for a point. "All in all, the data is stunning. The British growing season is now longer than ever. The Arctic ice is considerably thinner than it was 50 years ago. The 20th Century's 10 warmest years all occurred in the last 15 years," he said. "Given that, I think I speak for everyone in the Global Coincidence community when I say, 'Wow. Go figure.'"

I suppose the people have recognised the truth of the missing plane are just too tired of being mocked or ignored. The Pentagon plane had been hijacked by Aliens. Military custom amd practice in this situation is to hide or destroy all evidence.

This is fascinating. I can think of no reason why the US authorities would say it was the impact of an aircraft when it wasn't, and no reason why the missing aircraft could be missing. BUT the security camera shots given by GUEST at this site don't actually show an aircraft, just an explosion. If the commentary wasn't talking about an aircraft, you would not suspect the presence of one in the entire sequence. The questions given at this site are valid - look at these photographs and try and answer them yourselves!
We all saw the damage done to the two towers by the same type of aircraft at the time of impact - where is it here?

In serious mode - reminds me of a file what once hit my desk after a major nasty on the M25 in fog, from the best of my memory.....

We think there were 2 people and a dog inside, at least that is what the next of kin reported.

And that was at a nice gentle 70 mph - not an airspeed of 350 knots plus, with tonnes of AVKAT to fuel the fire.

Seriously, the link given above with its unanswered questions seems impressive, but I suspect it may be on the same order as the "faked moon landing" stuff. The video Charley mentioned above would help resolve the issue in my mind; can anyone find it and post a link? I tried to search CNN and couldn't locate it. Hmmm, maybe it's been mysteriously "lost" somehow...(sorry, I just finished watching the video of Oliver Stone's "JFK"!)

This all raises other questions. I've seen lots of pictures of the wreckage of the WTC and never seen anything that looks like an airplane. Aerial photos of the crater in Pennsylvania don't look much like an airplane either. Hmmmm!
