Subject: Need help with two songs From: GUEST,July4thbby Date: 07 May 02 - 04:13 PM Has anyone ever heard of these songs and do you know the artist of them. Thanks (1) "Mother, Is There Room in Heaven for me?" The little girl was trying to get her mother's attention. But the mother was busy baking and was bothered by her daughter. Then the girl got sick and was dying. In a delirious state, and feeling her mother has no room for her, she asks, "is there room in heaven for me?'" (2)"An Angel Must Have Saved Her (for no one else was there)" The story is that a little girl is left home alone. Her parents are in church and hear the fire engines go by. When they return home, their home is in ashes - it had burned to the ground. But on the ashes was standing their precious daughter - and then the lyrics, "an angel must have saved her for no one else was there." |

Subject: Lyr Add: IS THERE ROOM IN HEAVEN FOR ME? From: Jim Dixon Date: 09 May 02 - 09:01 PM Transcribed from the sheet music at the Library of Congress website: http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.music/sm1873.10028
IS THERE ROOM IN HEAVEN FOR ME?
Is there room among the Angels for the spirit of your child?
CHO: Tell me truly darling mother, is there room in heav'n for me?
I have sorely tried you, mother, been to you a constant care,
I was not so wayward mother, not so very, very bad,
