It's A Small Wage After All 11. As Time Goes By 12. Ale Brider 13. Talking Union 14. Organize (We're The Union) 15. No Nos Moveran (We Shall Not Be Moved) 16. We Were There 17. Public Workers Stand Together 18. WTO Has Got to Go (Shout No!) 19. Solidarity Forever And here is a short description of who we are and what we try to do: We are a street chorus, not a concert choir. Our preferred venue is a picket line. We try to lift the spirits of people engaged in struggle and help them to carry on. Only a few of us know how to read music, but we all know which side we're on. We originally got together after a Solidarity Bus Trip organized by the New Jersey State Industrial Union Council (IUC) in the Christmas Season of 1995. At that time there were several major strikes in Decatur, Illinois and the Labor Heritage Foundation distributed a booklet of Christmas Carol parodies written by Julie McCall and Bo Stauffer in support of those struggles . I had been singing on picket lines for several years as an adjunct to my activity as General Counsel to the IUC and I brought several copies of the booklet and my guitar onto the bus. We had so much fun, and drew so much attention to the Decatur struggles by going from one location to another all day long and singing labor carols, that we decided to form a singing cadre of activists. Six years later, after over a hundred appearances on picket lines, at rallies for progressive causes and in occasional concert settings, we decided to make a CD. We hope you like it. You can order one from me by sending $15.00 to Bennet Zurofsky; Reitman Parsonnet, P.C.; 744 Broad Street, Suite 1807; Newark, N.J. 07102. Wholesale prices available for vendors.
