does anyone have the words to a song done on a tv show run by Ronnie Corbet and Ronnie Barker It was a comedy show run in the 70's and 80 and they did a sketch dressed as yokels or morris dancers i think the song had a verse that went

a pu a pu a puritan am i

which they pronounced

UP YOU UP YOU

and

pour cow pour cow pour cowslip wine into my cup

which came out as

POOR COW POOR COW etc

many thanks if you can

Hi,

There was a thread on this which got the full version, probably sometime within the last year. I'm now trying to remeber the name of that thread.

Hi,

Check out "Bold Sir John", I moved it back to the top for you.

By the way they did a great parody of "Shake Rattle and Roll." They were dressed as fishmoners and the chorus went "Hake, haddock and sole."

There must be a site somewhere that lists all their paordies.

The Ronnies ALSO did a (to me, then) hysterical parody called "Cockney Carmen" which included the phrase 'No one's sweeter then the sweet seniorita selling char in the bar over there'. I laughed a lot. -Jes
