I just found this at a site called "www.woodenboat.com" and I thought it would be cute.

12' Catspaw Dinghy An open boat that rows with ease and swiftness and is stiff enough under sail to stand up to a breeze. LOA - 12' 8 3/8" Beam - 4' 5 5/8" Draft (cb up) - 6 1/2" (cb down) - 1' 8" Weight - 150 - 200 lbs. Sail Area : 65 sq. ft. No lofting is required Skill level: Intermediate

Looks like they've got the weight in about the right area - but 65 feet? And I don't think his are square....

It look awfully like, to my amature eye, a variation on the Chesapeake (Sic) Bay oyster skiff scaled down.

Yeah....We have a North Coast! Michigan has more coastline than any other state except Alaska. Ohio actually has more than several states like Maryland, Rhode Island and several other eastern states.

Ohio does claim to be on the "North Coast", but that's mostly to attract tourists. They gotta have something besides "come and visit the great Cuyahoga River, famous for catching fire 30 years ago tomorrow"...granted, things have gotten better since then. Shipping goes directly from the Lake Erie ports to the Atlantic, and you can't get to the Pacific from there, so its a lot more East Coast than West Coast.

I would have to challenge the coast line claim, here in sunny Florida about all we have is coastline. As for the parapaxis, I would think that refers to two paxis.
