Could you be a bit more specific about where you are (but dont mention your address!). I may be running some youth music things in the WMidlands Arts area, and perhaps I will find you some suitable contacts.

Pepper in the Brandy comes to mind. Bristol based. Cliff Woolley (Adam's dad) runs the FAB website (& Avon Folk Diary webpage), his e-mail will be on it. I link from my site cresby.com.
http://www.peterees.net refers to pete rees and he is 16 and a caller - he will know his bands in his area (south west UK)
failing that try Captain Swing a good ceilidh band and Andy has folkie daughters so maybe he can advise you. He goes to the Black Diamond FC on fridays (see cresby.com).

The previous threads you started on the same subject are still here; maybe you don't realise that, when they disappear off the page, that's just because nobody has posted to them for a day. They stay on the site, though, and you can find them in several ways; one is by setting the "age" box on the main Forum page to -for example- 14 days and clicking the "refresh" button; another is to click on your member name at the head of any of your posts, which will get you a list of links to all the posts you've made under that name. If you want to bring a thread back up to the top of the list, add something to it; just a post saying "refresh" or anything like that will do it. It does take a while to get used to all that stuff (some people have been here for years and still haven't grasped it!), but please do try to stick to one thread for one subject, or things can get pretty confusing after a while. Here are links to your earlier threads, with quite a few replies, though I do realise that many of them were less than helpful:

PLEASE....if you're a teen or know a teen!

I think Noreen mentioned the Folkworks summer-schools; they really are a very good place to learn stuff and meet people your own age who are interested in the same sort of things, though that doesn't help with your immediate question. Roughly where in the West Midlands are you? I expect we could dig up some contacts if we knew. Meanwhile, good luck to you; it can often be really difficult to find people who want to play the same kind of music, but it's definitely worth sticking with it. In case it's of interest, here's a link to a page about a band in my part of the country (South Yorkshire-ish) that's about your age:

Kerfuffle.
