Kendall, I'm very pleased to hear you are able to vocalize your thoughts! When I was in my last couple of years as a Voice Major in Music school, I could not sing or speak without pain for about 2 1/2 years! My voice teacher did not have enough experience to know what to do with me, although she tried everything she could think of to include having the head of the Speech Pathology dept. come to my lessons. I read every textbook about voice & singing by every opera/famous singer in the University library! The good news is that I learned tons about vocal pedagogy, and I'm a terrific vocal coach! And yes, my voice finally got fixed when all my professors ganged up on the head of the vocal dept., & got me into the studio of the new voice teacher in my last year. (why is it that the world still depends on who you know?!) One note of caution--no yelling! and remember (it ain't easy) alcolhol is VERY damaging to the vocal folds! Consume adult beverages with great caution, and from now on, stay WELL! Take care of yourself! Kaleea p.s.--- I'm still listening to Homer & Jethro!
